
Austin Manor
KNOWN AT ONE TIME as Austin Hall, this former student residence has been converted into an exciting living and inter-generational learning community for alumni, professors, friends of the University, and select Ohio Wesleyan students. Austin Manor now features more than 60 individual apartments. Residents enjoy full use of the college's athletic and library facilities, can attend campus cultural and sporting events, and have the opportunity to audit college courses.
Ohio Wesleyan offers 20 spaces for students to live in Austin Manor and still be considered "on campus" residents. There are a limited number of double rooms available, which resemble studio apartments; and 4-person apartments, which have two bedrooms.
Students can apply to live in Austin Manor by completing an Austin Manor application and participating in an interview with Residential Life staff. Austin Manor residents must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
- Must be available to live the entire 2006-2007 academic year in Austin Manor.
- Must be at the sophomore level or above.
- Express an interest in the intergenerational living arrangement and be willing to make a commitment to promote a sense of community.
- Make a commitment to respect the values of other residents.
- Help maintain the building in good condition.
- No smoking.
- Respect the building and its amenities.
- Maximum number of student spaces in Austin Manor shall be 20.
